The Music Department at Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) is set to present a spring choral concert at Lakeholm Church of the Nazarene. The event, which is free and open to the public, promises an evening of musical variety.

According to an MVNU press release, the concert will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, April 5, at the church located at 16001 Glen Road in Mount Vernon. The university's Collegians Chorale and Treble Singers Women's Choir will each showcase a range of music from their spring choir tour repertoire. They will unite for a rendition of the gospel song, "I Sing Because I'm Happy."

The select 35-voice Collegians Chorale is under the direction of Robert Tocheff, as per the MVNU press release. The Treble Singers, a select women's choir, is led by Sabina Anderson. They perform music for praise, worship, and testimony and participate in various events throughout the year. These include the Christmas service, an annual presentation of Handel's "Messiah", special chapel services, and the Music Department's spring ensemble concert. Their tours cover Ohio, West Virginia, and eastern Kentucky and they also perform at local schools.
